It was a windy and cold May day, but I really enjoyed my time with this beautiful family. These kids have such a great attitude and spirit. The bridge proved to be a great location to shoot! I’ll probably use this spot again soon.
Tonight, the sky lit up. My eyes, my soul, my being is quenched in observance of this awesome site. Words cannot describe the majesty and glory of His design.
Last night, we had a wicked storm system rip through our area. I don’t recommend anyone try this at home, but I proceeded to stand out in an open area in the rain and lightning holding a large, metal camera. The lightning was incredible and provided a much better diversion than TV or an iDevice. I’m thankful for these moments. The sky is often a canvas for things even as powerful as lightning. Brings new meaning to the fear of The Lord.
This truly is an incredible time to pull your camera out and capture the beautiful fall colors. It’s our job to simply study and enjoy this art that arrives as a free gift once a year. I love using a 70-200mm lens to compress the scene and create drama. Here are a few I shot today on a late afternoon walk.
